Ayannah and NCAF launch EDSA 25 Text-to-Donate Service

Manila, Philippines: Ayannah Information Solutions and the Ninoy Cory Aquino Foundation (NCAF) launched a Text-to-Donate service called EDSA 25 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution last February 25, 2011.

EDSA 25 is a people powered mobile donation service and part of NCAF’s fund raising activities that intend to help build public school classrooms nationwide. This service allows Smart and Globe users to donate by texting EDSA 25 to 5333

This year marks the 25th year of one of the famous landmarks in Philippine history. The 1986 People Power Revolution was a nonviolent demonstration of ordinary people that overthrew the dictatorial rule of Ferdinand Marcos and marked the restoration of the country’s democracy. NCAF aims to “relive and redefine the People Power” by initiating projects that will contribute to the benefits and welfare of the Filipino people, especially the young.

The EDSA 25 donation service intends to raise funds and help our country’s public school classroom shortage problem which is currently estimated about 152,000. This service is also part of Ayannah’s efforts to make donating more convenient to mobile phone users. Subscribers can now donate to help build a classroom by simply texting EDSA 25 to 5333.
