Ayannah Welcomes Foreign Intern To Its Team

MANILA, Philippines – April 6, 2015 Ayannah Information Solutions, a startup company based in the Philippines, that creates forward-thinking payment and ecommerce platforms for the world’s unbanked, recently accepted a foreign applicant to its internship program. This is a first for the company.

Renaud Jollet De Lorenzo, an MA Software Engineering student from the University of Technology in Belfort Monbeliard, France, is currently honing his programming skills under the mentorship of Ayannah’s web and software development team. De Lorenzo was interested in joining Ayannah because of its focus on remittance-based services, which he feels is a “big issue in a country where many don’t have back accounts.”

JP Alcala, Ayannah’s head of Technology, thinks the interest De Lorenzo has shown in the company is proof of its growing reputation in the South East Asian startup scene. “We’re very excited that people from outside the Philippines are coming to Ayannah. We want to share the services we create not just with our users, but with others in the tech community as well.”

Ayannah’s CEO, Mikko Perez, hopes Renaud is just the first of many foreign exchange students at Ayannah. He says that although Ayannah’s current offerings mainly cater toward the Philippine market, its future endeavors will require a strong multi cultural team. “We want to bring our services like Sendah, Sendah Direct, and Sendah Remit to other growing economies around the world, which is why our doors are always open to talent from all over the world.”
